Fifth Ground Entertainment is a Toronto-based entertainment production company responsible for the fantastic Canadian music documentary series entitled “The Rawside of..“. It you haven’t seen it, make your way over to the site and watch the clips. Fantastic stuff.

Mercy Flight is Steve York, a Toronto-based Singer Songwriter. At one time my landlord, this collaboration started in a quick pass of the master CD out his car window as he drove past my office on Spadina Avenue during rush hour.

Here is something I’m very proud of. For our public announcement of the MAKE MEDIA MATTER initiative at jhr’s seventh annual fundraiser event “Night for Rights” on March 26, 2010, we created this promotional video to get people excited and on board. Bedouin Soundclash generously gave us permission to use their track, and were amongst the 900 plus people crowd of supporters.

I was commissioned by the organizers to create a new image, a poster among them, for a popular open mic event at the Supermarket in Kensington Market called “Freef’all Sundays”. So change your strings, dust off your gig bag and sing your heart out.

On December 10th, 2009 (International Human Rights Day and my birthday!) the jhr office was filled with amazing volunteers to help stick small bands of duct-tape on envelope windows before sending our holiday direct mail out to 5,000 addresses. Our goal, to raise $20,000 to help keep our very important and effective projects in Sierra Leone alive and well. As of writing, we are only a couple thousand dollars short of reaching our goals, and donations are still flowing in. This was a huge success for jhr and everyone involved.

Better Building Partnership (BBP) was a complex project to say the least, but equality as fulfilling. I was contracted by the advertising agency Partners + Edell to work with the City of Toronto to completely redeveloping the online presence for Better Building Partnership (BBP). BBP offers incentives for new and redevloping construction projects across the city that utilize new energy efficent and sustainable technologies. To understand the needs and offer solutions, I conducted interviews with stakeholders and dove neck deep into piles of municiple paperwork and jargon. As a result, I produced comprehensive multiple user-flows and wireframes to transform a terribly outdated website with almost zero user-friendlyness into an robust system with online applications, customized financial projects PDF, status alerts, automatically filtered content and much more.

During the process of redesigning their global brand and online presence, I was tasked to create and present recommendations, feedback and ideas on an on-going basis. I was approached my Certified GermGuard to assist in their branding, from logo creation to promotional material. Certified GermGuard coats all sorts of surfaces, from stadium seats, to school lockers, to Blackberries, reducing up to 99% of viruses, bacteria and other microbial growth for up to one year. With pandemics on the rise, Certified GermGuard is a line of defense we can certianly use.
