To be honest, coming into this project I only had basic knowledge of cancer prevention. However, after many sessions with all the great staff, and hours with case studies, reports and articles, my eyes were certainly opened. “Breast Aware” is a online resource specifically for the public to increase awareness of cancer prevention through postiive lifestyle choices.

Presenting an incredibly dramatic travelogue of my April 2011 adventure, revisiting friends in Bangkok, motorcycling solo for a week and a half throughout Laos, and an epic two weeks with my wife in Bali, Indonesia.

Just a month after completing my first project for the NFB, I was gratefully asked again to submit an interactive film concept on the theme of privacy and our human rights.

I’ve just completed one of the more exciting projects to come my way in a while. Contracted by the NFB to work with Tim Wilson, a documentary filmmaker based on Nova Scotia, on transforming his documentary concept into a unique online interactive film proposal, complete with user-flows, wireframes, art direction and design concepts.

Mercy Flight is Steve York, a Toronto-based Singer Songwriter. At one time my landlord, this collaboration started in a quick pass of the master CD out his car window as he drove past my office on Spadina Avenue during rush hour. Here are a 6 concepts for his latest upcoming album, entitled “White Star”.

Here is something I’m very proud of. For our public announcement of the MAKE MEDIA MATTER initiative at jhr’s seventh annual fundraiser event “Night for Rights” on March 26, 2010, we created this promotional video to get people excited and on board. Bedouin Soundclash generously gave us permission to use their track, and were amongst the 900 plus people crowd of supporters.

Freef’all Sundays

January 12, 2010

I was commissioned by the organizers to create a new image, a poster among them, for a popular open mic event at the Supermarket in Kensington Market called “Freef’all Sundays”. So change your strings, dust off your gig bag and sing your heart out.

On December 10th, 2009 (International Human Rights Day and my birthday!) the jhr office was filled with amazing volunteers to help stick small bands of duct-tape on envelope windows before sending our holiday direct mail out to 5,000 addresses. Our goal, to raise $20,000 to help keep our very important and effective projects in Sierra […]

Better Building Partnership (BBP) was a complex project to say the least, but equality as fulfilling. I was contracted by the advertising agency Partners + Edell to work with the City of Toronto to completely redeveloping the online presence for Better Building Partnership (BBP). BBP offers incentives for new and redevloping construction projects across the […]

I have been very fortunate to work with some amazing companies and fantastic people, and G.A.P. Adventures is one of them. During the process of redesigning their global brand and online presence, I was tasked to create and present recommendations, feedback and ideas on an on-going basis. Here are a few examples from the documents […]

Along with many other reasons, one of the best things about being involved with a charity like jhr is having to do the best with the least amount of resources. This involves doing as much as you can, calling upon and sharping a variety of skills on a regular basis. From idea generation, videos, budgets, […]

jhr’s brand (jhr)

November 2, 2009

My first task upon joining the head office of jhr was to completely rework the charities brand as the previous was difficult to communicate and poorly conveyed jhr’s progressive and innovative message. I present to you the new jhr brand, along with several pages from the brand & visual guidelines that I created.

2009 Paper Fit (Honda)

November 2, 2009

I came up with the idea to pitch to GRIP Unlimited, Honda Canada’s advertising agency, to offer paper cutouts of users customized 2009 Honda Fits. They loved the idea, and together with illustrator Fred Hon, we created paper cuts out that could be easily folded, a perfect desktop toy for any aspiring owner.

Lancer Earth (Mitsubishi)

November 2, 2009

Lancer Earth was a journey around the world, emphasizing the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer’s international appeal, technology, performance, rally heritage and killer design lines. Through a combination of live video, original animation by animators at major Hollywood studios, real Lancer sound effects (yes, we were working that day recording high-speed runs) and voice-overs in German, Japanese and Wolof, Lancer Earth provided a visceral, heart-pounding experience for its much anticipated North American debut.

It’s pretty safe to say that the Lancer Evo X is a seriously bad ass car. This flash website aimed to be as slick and emotional as the actual car for it’s much hyped, much anticipated North American debut.
